MaR1-induced decrease of ROS concentration was regulated by enzymes activity in healthy volunteers and sepsis patient. Peripheral venous blood (PVB, 10 ml) was collected from healthy adult volunteers, stimulated with various concentration of MaR1 (2.5, 5, 10, and 20 nM) with or without LPS (100 ng/ml), or BOC-2 (10 μM/ml) or SQ22536 (20 μM/ml) for 6 h. Then the ROS production, NOX, SOD and CAT activity was measured (a-e). Data are presented as mean ± SEM.
