MaR1 mitigated functional proteins of the mitochondria in vivo and lactic acid level in CLP stimulated blood. MaR1 (100ng/mice) in the presence or absence of BOC-2 (600 ng/kg) or SQ22536 (10 mg/kg) was administered to CLP mice for 24 h, the lung tissues were collected 24 h after CLP and the effect of MaR1 on mitochondria was assessed by transmission electron microscopy analysis (original magnification ×15,000) (a) by the lung tissues homogenate COX I and COX IV protein expression on mitochondria (b), and by the level of lactic acid in arterial blood (c).
