β-catenin activation was required for vitamin D to modulate Nrf2, MITF, and apoptosis pathways in melanocytes. a Western blotting was performed to assess the expression of downstream components in Wnt/β-catenin signaling. The ratio of nuclear/cytosolic of Nrf2 (b), total HO-1 and MITF (c), and the ratio of cleaved-caspase3/total caspase 3 (d) were analyzed by densitometry analysis. *P  <  0.05, **P  <  0.01, ***P  <  0.001, compared with the control group; #P  <  0.05, ##P  <  0.01, ###P  <  0.001, compared with the H2O2 group
