GTSE1 upregulated the expression of SP1 and enhanced the transcription of FOXM1, which ultimately promoted the proliferation of prostate cancer cell. However, the pro-proliferation effect of GTSE1 on prostate cancer could be significantly reversed by thiostrepton, a specific inhibitor of FOXM1.
