Plot a shows the variation in the speed of the CNT-bot (uP) in an aqueous peroxide bath in which the concentration of peroxide (CPer) was increased from 1% (v/v) to 12% (v/v). Plot b shows the variation in uP when the pH of the water bath was varied. Plot c shows the variation in uP in a 5% (v/v) peroxide bath when the pH of the bath was varied. Plot d shows the variation in uP at different NaHCO3 loadings, in pure water, and for a Mg-free swimmer. Plot e shows the variation in uP with different applied magnetic field strengths (H) for a 220 μm particle. Plot f shows the variation in uP with the intensity of UV LEDs for photoactive CNT-bots.
