Case #3. Gross examination of the right lower lobe wedge resection specimen revealed a 7 cm cystic, hemorrhagic, and friable mass lesion (a). Microscopic sections showed extensive necrosis and hemorrhage with rare foci of viable tumor at the periphery (b). The tumor cells had a biphasic arrangement with sheets of large mononuclear cells rimmed by multinucleated giant cells (c, d)
