Bone marrow fibrosis grading. Fibrosis in bone marrow, highlighted by reticulin staining, were graded as: MF0 = scattered linear reticulin with no intersections, MF1 = loose network of reticulin with many intersections, especially in perivascular areas, MF2 = diffuse and dense increase in reticulin with extensive intersections, and/or associated with focal osterosclerosis and MF3 = diffuse and dense increase in reticulin with extensive intersections and associated osterosclerosis (×400 magnification)
