Early complete hydatidiform mole with cauliflower-like villous shape, myxoid bluish stroma with small canalicular vessels, and trophoblastic hyperplasia, demonstrates loss of p57 expression (a, b). Another p57-negative complete hydatidiform mole 3 years later in the same patient (c, d). Genotyping confirmed these as biparental conceptions, providing evidence to suggest the syndrome of familial biparental hydatidiform mole.
