Group differences in differential blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) responses induced by conditioned predictors of interoceptive pain (i.e., ΔCSVISC) in the late acquisition phase in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) compared to (A) healthy controls (HC) and (B) patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). For visualization purposes, activations were superimposed on a structural T1-weighted MR-image, thresholded at p < 0.01 uncorrected, and masked for the a-priori defined regions of interest.
