We thank the authors for their correction. Our compound was purchased from Adooq Bioscience (cat A18949 “FGF21 receptor agonist”; https://www.adooq.com/pf-05231023.html) and is listed as “a long-acting fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) analog, is a FGF21-receptor agonist, suitable for development as a potential treatment for T2DM.” However, our subsequent NMR investigation confirmed that the compound was in fact Maleide-PEG2-AZD (CAS: 2253965-07-8). While this is disappointing, we are currently running a number of investigations to further understand the effects reported in ours and other studies. We will update the readers once our data are collated.
