Tamoxifen activates GPER and this downregulates the activity of RhoA, which in consequence decreases the levels of pMLC-2 (active form). The decrease in MLC-2 activation leads to suppressing mechanosensing, force generation and HSCs ability to mechanically regulate the synthesis of ECM proteins and HIF-1alpha
