Cortisol levels in adopted children: time in orphanage care is positively correlated with serum cortisol at baseline (r2 = 0.608, p < 0.06). Serum cortisol was obtained between 11 am and 1 pm. (convenience sample). Cortisol levels ranged from 4.2 to 16.3 μg/dL.
