Changes in right ventricular (RV) output (a) and the contribution of RV output to pulmonary arterial (PA) blood flow (b) in the baseline fetal state (F), at varying levels of PEEP during the dynamic PEEP (dynPEEP) maneuver over ∼4.5 min, or the equivalent time-period after an initial ∼40 s sustained inflation (SI, gray column) followed by mechanical ventilation at a PEEP of 8 cmH2O, with data depicted in the same format as in Fig. 1. Values are means ± SD; n = 7 for SI and n = 9 for dynPEEP groups.
