The roles of natural compounds in chemoprevention. Natural compounds have shown great promise in cancer chemoprevention by targeting on signaling pathways, immune checkpoints and gut microbiota, reducing adverse reactions, as well as improving chemotherapy drug sensitivity. In addition, drug delivery systems also enhance the bioavailability of natural compounds, making them more robust for cancer prevention. Natural compounds are not only treasure reservoir for drug discovery, but will also achieve precise cancer chemoprevention in the future to better serve human health.
