The serum level of mBDNF (a) and TrkB (b) were decreased in alcohol dependence group (n = 30) compared to the controls (n = 50). The data of mBDNF were presented in median + IQR and analysed by Mann–Whitney U-test. The data of TrkB were presented in mean ± SEM and analysed by Student’s t-test (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01)
