Scatterplot of the number of VNTRs that map within a gene. For each gene, the number of VNTRs (vertical axis) are plotted with respect to the length of the gene (horizontal axis). Coloring indicates whether the gene lies within the subtelomeric region (orange) or not (blue). Labeled genes contain more than 25 VNTRs. DLGAP2 and PTPRN2 cover the largest number of VNTRs.
