  1. Age, sex and handedness were compared between ECT, TAU-responders, and healthy controls using an ANOVA and χ2 tests. Clinical variables were compared between ECT and TAU-responders using two-sample t-tests or Chi-Square tests. Antidepressive medication was compared at T1 (day of the 1st MRI-scan) and at T2 (day of the 2nd MRI-scan).
