The Pearson correlation between the two sets of residuals is equal to the partial correlation between HDRS scores at week 2 post-WBH/sham treatment and the natural log transformed concentration of plasma IL-6 assessed immediately post-WBH/sham treatment (controlling for baseline HDRS scores and baseline natural log transformed concentration of plasma IL-6, respectively).
