At 6 weeks of age, the male Tsc2+/− mice started the 0.2% SLCP diet. At 12–14 weeks of age, WT (N = 9), Tsc2+/− (N = 8), and Tsc2+/−/SLCP (N = 8) mice were assessed with a 3-chamber social preference test and social novelty test. At 12–14 weeks of age, the animals underwent MRI acquisition and fecal collection. At 16 weeks of age, mice were sacrificed with transcardial perfusion; brain slices were obtained for subsequent histological and immunostaining analyses.
