An Ishikawa diagram, also known as a ‘Cause and Effect’ diagram, aids quality improvement teams to explore and display potential causes contributing to an effect or outcome. This diagram shows the many potential factors within a variety of categories that could contribute to difficulties with identifying and preparing for the specific dental care needs of SCD patients.
