Paediatric dental anomalies can be classified in terms of dentition number, shape, size, and structure and this article explores paediatric anomalies in relation to these variations. Anomalies in the number are caused by disruption in the dental lamina formation stage of dental development, while anomalies in the size and shape of teeth occur due to disruption of the morophodifferentiation stage.
