Q: I'm concerned about having to deal with difficult patients in the dental practice. What is the best way to handle and respond to challenging patient interactions?

It can be daunting to deal with some patients, especially at the beginning of your career. The overwhelming majority of patients get on well with their dentists. Unfortunately, in a very small number of cases, tensions can escalate due to challenging or aggressive behaviour from patients towards dentists and the wider dental team.
