I'm honoured to take on the role of BDSA President 2023-24 and can't wait to implement my goals this academic year. As President, I endeavour to ensure that the interests of dental students across the United Kingdom are at the heart of everything our association does. Enhancing communication and collaboration, fostering an awareness of the BDSA and its work is at the forefront of my agenda. I'm passionate about continually seeking and promoting new opportunities for dental students and widening participation from all UK dental schools in BDSA events, thereby getting as many students involved as possible. I have made some of my dearest friends and fondest memories through partaking in BDSA events, and I would love for every dental student to enjoy the same fulfilling opportunity.
For me, it's all about making the most of this wonderful community that we have the privilege to be a part of at university! By cultivating relationships with the 16 dental schools across the UK, I strive to work alongside my student peers towards tackling the issues affecting our chosen profession. By ensuring that the voice of dental students is always heard and represented at a national level, I hope to advocate for the development of an environment where dental students feel supported and able to achieve their full potential at university.
