Author Katherine, who is based in Ontario, Canada, has had a decades-long career in dentistry and dental hygiene. As a lifelong coeliac, she has developed personal expertise in absorption-related disorders, and is passionate about the ways that dental hygienists can promote early detection of these disorders in their clients. She is currently studying for an MA in Oral Health Education at O'Hehir University.
