A CBCT was not performed on the basis that substantial scatter would prevent accurate visualisation of any fractures. Surgical exploration was opted for instead, where a root fracture was identified. Additionally, for post-crown restorations, a history of repeated debonding should raise a high suspicion of a root fracture
