Predictors of orthodontic treatment preferences in a large representative UK adult cohort. Br Dent J 2025; 238: 257-264. https://doi.org/10.1038/s41415-024-8157-2

A representative sample of 604 UK adults completed an online survey assessing participants' interest in orthodontic treatment and provider preference. Validated self-assessment scales/questionnaires were used to assess dental aesthetics, mental health, body image and oral health. This data was analysed using a series of chi-squared and multinomial logistic regressions, a mixed analysis of variance and a hierarchical multiple regression.
