The Editor-in-Chief is issuing this Editorial Expression of Concern to alert readers that concerns were have been raised about the data reported in this article. Specifically:

The Ad-p73 image for SW480 in Figure 1b appears to have been previously published in a paper with common authors (1).

The 0 h plots for Ad-LacZ and 24 h plots for Ad-p73 in Figures 3a and 3b appear unusually similar, though these figures present data for different cell lines.

In Figure 6c, there appears to be an unusual degree of similarity in the patterns contained in the Ad-LacZ 0 h and 48 h plots.
Due to the age of this paper the authors were no longer able to provide raw data for review upon request by the Publisher. Readers are advised to interpret the results and findings of this article with caution.
Sanjeev Das and Kumaravel Somasundaram did not explicitly state whether they agree or disagree with this Editorial Expression of Concern. The remaining authors did not respond to correspondence from the Publisher regarding this Editorial Expression of Concern.
