NRK-52E cells were treated, respectively, with scrambled control, HG, hZnT8, ZnT8 RNAi, HG+hZnT8 and ZnT8 RNAi. Free zinc distribution in the cells was then analyzed with TSQ assays (a–f). Relative zinc fluorescing scores each group were summarized as below (*P < 0.05 and **P < 0.001 vs. control group; #P < 0.05 and ##P < 0.001 vs. HG).
