The Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) database shows p38γ mRNA transcripts in NPC tumor tissues (“Tumor”, n = 518) and the normal nasopharynx epithelial tissues (“Normal”, n = 44) (A). The Kaplan–Meier Survival analyses of the p38γ-low (n = 259) and the p38γ-high (n = 259) NPC patients (B). Expression of p38γ mRNA (C) and protein (D and E) in local NPC tumor tissues (“T”, n = 15) and the matched adjacent nasopharynx epithelial tissues (“N”, n = 15) was shown, with results quantified. Expression of p38γ mRNA (F) and protein (G) in the listed NPC cells and the primary human nasal epithelial cells (pHNEpC-1 and pHNEpC-2) was tested as well. *P < 0.05 vs. “Normal”/“N” tissues or pHNEpC-1 cells.
