ZCCHC13 activates p-AKT and p-ERK signaling, which stimulated c-MYC activation. c-MYC increases cell cycle regulatory protein expression through transcription of target genes. ZCCHC13 was identified as coordinately down-regulated and hypermethylated in NOA patients with meiotic arrest. We hypothesized that ZCCHC13 regulates germ cell proliferation via c-MYC-dependent PI3K/Akt and MAPK pathway
