E17d pregnant dams were injected with 5 mg/kg fibronectin inhibitor or an equal amount of saline. At day 3, 7, and 10 post birth, the pups were simultaneously given an intraperitoneal dose of 5 mg/kg fibronectin inhibitor or an equivalent amount of saline (control), and the pups were sacrificed on the 1st, 3rd, 7th, and 14th day. a–d Lung morphometry was analyzed by H&E staining of tissue samples from surviving pups at day 1, 3, 7, and 14 post birth.
