In tumor-associated immunity, the IRE1 arm not only suppresses T cell activity and proliferation, but also inhibits the antigen presentation capacity of dendritic cells (DC) and the proliferation of natural killer (NK) cells. The PERK arm, through its signaling pathway, can influence the expression of macrophages, DC, and T helper (Th) cells, and also plays an immunosuppressive role in myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs). Furthermore, ATF6 primarily mediates the occurrence of innate immunity in the intestine.
