RP administration to sedentary control mice resulted in increased hippocampal neurogenesis and gliogenesis, improved memory retention, and enhanced expression of genes important for learning and memory in the hippocampus. Clusterin (CLU) in RP reduced hippocampal neuroinflammation and may mediate beneficial effects of RP for brain function.
