Proposed model of TAM-derived CCL22-induced oncogenic addiction to hyperactivated FAK. TAM-derived CCL22 facilitates the assembly of the CCR4/DGKα/FAK complex to stimulate the constitutive hyperactivation of FAK. This series of molecular events induces tumor cells to become hypersensitive to FAK inhibition and promotes EMT and MMP secretion in ESCC cells
