Density of the electronic states (DOS) of the non-modulated structure (in black, denoted by “sym”) and two representative CDW structures with a 4 × 4 periodicity, 1q and 3q (DOS curves for CDW structures with a single ordering vector do not differ sensibly). All curves are rescaled in formula units for a meaningful comparison between different supercells.
