a Quantification of CSF viral loads in animals treated with the Rev-dependent vector (Group D). b Quantitative viral outgrowth assay (QVOA) of peripheral blood CD4 T cells from KC50. PBMC were collected at week 159 from KC50, and CD4 T cells were purified, activated with PHA plus IL-2. Cells were serially diluted (5 fold dilution), and mixed with CEMx174 cells (1 × 105) and co-cultured for two weeks. The culture supernatant were collected and quantified by SIV RNA using qRT-PCR. The qRT-PCR limit of detection is 83 copies/ml. IUMP (Infectious Units Per Million) was calculated.
