Whiskers represent 95% Confidence Intervals as estimated from fitted generalized linear models. Significance of statistical comparisons (linear contrasts from the fitted glms) between larva and adult mean proportions within rearing temperatures are indicated by **(p < 0.001) or ns (p > 0.1). Differences between acclimation temperatures within developmental stages are illustrated as reaction norms in Fig. 3
