Branches of the ‘Nuomici’ litchi trees were uniformly sprayed with water as control, 120 µM methyl viologen dichloride hydrate (MV) as ROS treatment, or 3 mM sodium nitroprusside (SNP) as NO treatment. Rudimentary leaves were collected after 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 d of treatment. Nuclei images were visualized by fluorescence microscopy. Bar = 5 μm.
