GFP reporter constructs containing CsKPI1, CsKPI2, and CsKPI3 promoters (CsKPI1pro-GFP, CsKPI2pro-GFP, and CsKPI3pro-GFP) and the CaMV35S promoter (35Spro-GFP; positive control) were used to transiently transfect Arabidopsis protoplasts, which were tested for SA (a) and MeJA (b) induction. After incubation for 8 h, the GFP signal was observed by confocal microscopy. Ctr, control group with sterilized water treatment. Bars = 10 μm
