A Growth phenotype of hybrid Liriodendron in response to Al toxicity. One-week-old seedlings were treated with AlCl3 at 30 μM for the indicated times, and photographs were taken. The experiment was performed in triplicate with similar results, and one group of photos is presented. B AlCl3 inhibits leaf growth-related parameters, including Fv/Fm, MDA, stomatal conduction, and transpiration. One-week-old seedlings were treated with AlCl3 at 30 μM for the indicated time, and these growth-related parameters were measured. The experiment was performed in triplicate, and the plotted values are the means ± SDs of three biological replicates
