Open (men) and closed bars (women) indicate adjusted mean value of baPWV per tertile of IgM. The analysis was adjusted for age, mean arterial pressure, heart rate, body mass index, current smoking (not in women because of small numbers), and alcohol intake, the use of antihypertensive and antihyperglycemic drugs, the presence of hypertension and diabetes, plasma glucose, serum total, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
