The crosslinked UpaGΔ2 dimer is derived from an unstable trimer. AD202 transformed with pRS5 [P trc -His 10 -upaGΔ2(Y1735am)] and pDULE-Bpa were radiolabeled, UV irradiated, and treated with PK. Following cell lysis and solubilization of cell membranes in DDM, His10-tagged proteins were purified by Ni-NTA chromatography and incubated at 25 or 99 °C in SDS sample buffer prior to SDS-PAGE
