Broadband single-shot absorption measurement of the laser-induced plasma. The absorption spectrum of the Rb D2 line and K D1 and D2 lines, separated by over 6 THz, are simultaneously observed from a calibrated sample of SRM610 NIST glass following the laser ablation pulse. The inset shows a zoomed-in view of the 5S1/2−5P3/2 Rb D2 line, demonstrating the ability of DCS to simultaneously provide high spectral resolution by resolving the four absorption peaks from the Rb D2 ground state hyperfine structure and isotopic shift of 85Rb versus 87Rb.
