Movement of persistent non-mixing regions through the flowing layer. Non-mixing regions (A1-A3, B1-B3) present at \(\epsilon\) = 0 [see Fig. 7a] are still present at \(\epsilon\) = 0.15 and pass fully through the flowing layer after each half-iteration [(57°, 57°) protocol].
