Debugging and optimizing the PCB production module. B. subtilis expressing cph1(Y176H)* from LacI-T740 were grown in the absence or presence of IPTG, and in the presence of 10 µM exogenous PCB, or in combination with PPM v0.1, v0.2, or v0.3. The resulting red fluorescence of the Cph1(Y176H)-PCB conjugate was measured via flow cytometry. Bars show the mean of three experiments run on separate days.
