From: Acetylation regulates ribonucleotide reductase activity and cancer cell growth

RRM2 acetylation at K95 suppresses tumor growth in vivo. a, b The same number (3 × 106) of H1299 parental cells or RRM2-deficient H1299 cells expressing empty vector, Flag-tagged WT, or individual acetyl-mimetic RRM2 mutant(s) were injected into subcutaneous tissue at the flank region of nude mice to generate lung cancer xenografts (n = 5 mice each group). Tumor volume was measured once every 4 days. After 28 days, the mice were killed and the tumors were removed, photographed, and analyzed. All dotted circles in tumor images indicate no visible tumors. The error bars indicate ± s.d., n = 5 per group. ***P<0.001, by two-tailed t test. c, d IHC staining of Ki67 was performed in tumor tissues at the end of experiments. Scale bar: 100 μm. The error bars indicate ± s.d., n = 5 per group. ***P <0.001, by two-tailed t test
