Behavioral task. Incidental memory encoding in the context of a Go/NoGo task. At encoding, grayscale objects were presented with a color fame indicating requirement of a button press for the Go condition or withholding the response for NoGo. A surprise recognition test was conducted one hour later (or one day later Exp 7), during which participants were presented with objects from the encoding task intermixed with an equal number of lure items (presented without a frame) and indicated whether they remembered (R), were familiar with (K) or did not remember (N) the objects
