Interpreting the EVPI analysis for a threat. The graphic shows the results we obtain from our value of information analysis for the threat ‘Loss of tree hollows’. The bar charts in the graphic compare the expected absolute gain in persistence under current uncertainty (EV uncertainty) and the expected gain in persistence if uncertainty was removed (EV certainty). The expected value of removing uncertainty (EVPI) is the difference between EV certainty and EV uncertainty. Values are computed for each affected species group and the average over all species groups affected by the threat
