Numerical results of momentum of the monopoles. a We wrap the system on a L × L torus, and uniformly spread 2π/L2 flux in each unit cell. b, c To extract the lattice momentum, we calculate \(\langle \psi |G_{T_1} \cdot T_1|\psi \rangle = \rho e^{ik_1}\), and find k1 = 2π/3 on the triangular lattice and k1 = π on the square lattice. ρ is close to 1 for a large system size, which indicates that the translation symmetry is approximately preserved
