The distribution P(〈R〉) given in the integral equation (Supplementary Eq. (9)) is solved using nonnegative Tikhonov Regularization (Supplementary Note 7). As shown here, P(〈R〉) have multi-peaks and are widespread, which is a manifestation of heterogeneity. We set g = 1 and δ = 5/4
